Sorry to sound negative here, but we went to the clinic at Portsmouth Naval Hospital about 3 -4 years ago, and at that time I didn't have much good to say about them. The NP there had bad bed side manners IMO. My daughter tested pos for PA there, and we didn't even find out until about six months later. Sorry, but I didn't like it there.</end quote></div>

I just wanted to add that we have been going to the Portsmouth CF clinic for 3 years now...and we have been pleased...I will say...I did not have a good first impression...we had our first appointment a month before the "old" doctor was leaving...I told my husband that if he was going to be our doctor we would be going someplace else. Dr. Lee came in and took over in Aug-Sept of 2005 and he is passionate about CF...he is current on research...my daughter participated in the Tiger-1 study...he is available...via email or pager whenever I have concerns or questions...and he is active in Great Strides...I won't say that it's perfect...no place is...this is our 5th clinic...so we have lots to compare to...but I will say that all in all it's a good clinic...I will also say that I completely understand about whole PA issue...we had similar issues at other clinics...and I learned that lab results are typically not looked at until review for an appt or a flare-up...now...I call for results...not to excuse bad bedside behavior...but just wanted to let everyone know that the clinic has changed in the last 3 years...

Thanks for clarifying and updating that b/c Dr. Lee wasn't there when we were there, we must have had the prior doctor. I'm glad they got somebody in there that's passionate about CF b/c I wasn't catching that vibe when we went there...<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
