I also love our private GI (who actually noticed the signs and called in our pulm)andour pedi. who rushed insisted on us beingseen immediately by the GI which led to our diagnosis. So so far we've been pretty lucky in the private field<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Thank you for your responses! I am so nervous changing drs! We go to them so much and/or talk to them on the phone it feels as though they are a second family!

From what I am getting from here and other people I have talked to in Dallas, Cooks is a great option. It will be so far from where we live though...

My experience with Dallas Childrens was not a good one. When her pedi suggested my daughter might have CF when she was 2 we started taking her to Dallas. For a year we went there and they never diagnosed her with CF. She did have a complicated case..some positive, some neg sweat test..(they said she wouldnt have a neg if she had it)..she is pancreatic sufficient(but needs Miralax to poop)...and her blood result only came back showing 1 gene. Every time she went she had a different doctor. I did not like that. Even when she was 2 1/2 she got RSV and they still didnt think she had it. Finally, someone suggested we take her to Cooks Childrens for a second oppinion. On the first visit they did a throat swab(never done at Dallas!) and it came back positive for pseudomonas aeroginosa so that is what they used to diagnose her. We never went back to Dallas. She has had only 1 doctor see her ever since. It is quite a drive ( I live by Rowlett) but definately worth it!
