Anyone had Colistin in an iv?

My Dr. prescribed Colistin ( Colistimethate sodium) for me to do iv instead of inhaling it since inhaling it makes me so short of breath. I am wondering if anyone else has used it and how well it worked for you?

I had it for some time IV; the "problem" is, that it can cause weird nerv feelings...About 3 hours after infusion my face did always feel like I had been at the dentist, getting a shot to benumb and now slowly the feelings coming back; the good thing is thats reversible<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

I had it for some time IV; the "problem" is, that it can cause weird nerv feelings...About 3 hours after infusion my face did always feel like I had been at the dentist, getting a shot to benumb and now slowly the feelings coming back; the good thing is thats reversible<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

I've just started home iv's today and one of mine is colistin. I agree with Uli it makes your face feel numb and my tongue. but it seems to do some good
