anyone had roseola?

I have come down with Roseola again!! It is supposed to affect the babies mostly...has anyone else gotten it.......I have had the rash for about 2 weeks now that i have noticed. That is because my back started itching and i felt a raised patch of skin there. Now it is all over my back and chest and neck. There are a couple of spots on my arms. I have been putting that generic eucerin cream on my skin to combat the dryness the spots are causing...or i just have dry skin and the spots are making it worse. The last time i got this was in the winter time when the air was drier. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make it go away?? I think i got it this time from my little niece, as i think about it i remember that she did have it....could i have got it from her or did the virus just reactivate itself. I did seem to be sick a couple of weeks ago with a cold that i think is in my broncials now... that is fun.......i wonder if i was weakend with the cold or whatever it was and it made the roseola come back???? HELP!!

My daughter has been experiencing Roseola type rash. She has no fever, but her allergies are out of control even tho she hasnt missed her medicine. She does not have CF. Her back cleared up, but she still has some on her belly & now legs. I keep putting cortisone cream on it for the itching. Its alot better.

booo that is so annoying! In the winter I came down with pydorisis rosea...people thought it was roseola but I think it was a form of that. It took 3-4 months to go away. My friend even got it because we shared a glass before I knew I had it. She swears she still has the rash on her arm. The dermatolgist just gave me some lotion for dryness but there is nothing to cure it!!

Thanks for the info on this rash......it is so annoying that we get these random illnesses so easily!!! The last time i had this rash it was in the winter too and lasted for months.....I asked the docs what i could do ....they said just moisturize it too......I hope it goes away soon........thanks for the replies.....I guess Prednisone makes this rash worse cause when i had to get some antibiotics cause i caught another bug ........the nurse told me that it was not a good idea with this Roseola or whatever it is,....so i dont have to take that so that is a good thing...i hope... <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif" border="0">

I went out in the sun yesterday for an hour with lots of strong sun screen and it looks like my rash is getting worse. does anyone know anything about the sun and roseola. ???
