anyone have PCOS too?

I got diagnosed with PCOS about two months ago after trying to get to the bottom of having really lack of periods for basically my whole life! My CF drs were always telling me its just your weight! but hello im not that skinny and there are alot of other women out there that weigh less then me and have a regular or semi regular period!!! so needless to say i got an answer elsewhere! So my husband and i are really wanting to have a baby. we were tossing around the thought of doing IVF about a 1 1/2 ago with seregate. but now i just want to get down and do this and try to get pregnant on our own or with the help of clomid and whatever else they decide to put me on. i go in to see a fertility guy on dec 5 so i am super excited. but this pcos thing is just one extra added thing to make it more complicated to get pregnant! so i was just wondering if there was anyone else out there that has pcos and was/did /have a child. Also that dr was talking to me about taking metformin which is a diebetic pill i guess witch i am a diebetic but i take insulin. i have some higher levels of i guess something similar to testosterone in my body so they wanted me to get on that to help with the effects of that and my missing periods... (i can go for 4-6 months without having a period!) anyways thanks for any help...

You have to be careful about the foods you eat but also make sure to take the Met with food. I was put on Provera first to bring on a period, then after I had a few cycles, she put me on clomid. I was on that for 3 months before I conceived. Yes, the met will give you tummy problems... I gradually made it up to 1500mg 3x day. i havent had a period in like a yr... sorry if thats TMI <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> Hope this helps....good luck!

Not a problem! Thank you guys! i just was wondering what was all out there or if i was in a boat alone with all these scary monsters!!! Its a good feeling to know that im not alone! I just wish everything would go away for everyone! ughh!! and why the heck does it have to affect us having children i mean we go through enough as it is now come on!!! Oh well i will overcome this and have a child wi8th my wonderful husband no matter what it takes!!! thank you all again!
