Anyone in the Dayton area

We have just moved to OH from MI and are in the Dayton area. Our son is seen at Children's in Dayton. I am wondering if there is anyone in the Dayton area as I feel I need someone close to share the CF experience with. I find this website very helpful and will continue to use it but I wondered if any one was in our area as I feel I still need more support plus it would be good if there was someone else going to our hospital that could share experiences with us.I also am not sure how to get involved in all things cf related such as volunteering and anything else that will help in the fight so answers on how to do this would be helpful.

I am in the Dayton area. Our 5yr dd is seen at Dayton Children's. She was diagnosed at 18mos and we've been going to Dayton Children's since then. We've been very happy there.

We are an hour and 15 minutes from Dayton, we go to Toledo though which is 2 hours away. The only reason is because that was the only hospital when I gave birth to my son that we could be in the same hospital because we knew he would have surgery at birth and be in the hospital for awhile after birth-ended up being 77 days straight. My daughter goes to Dayton hospital to see her pediatric developmental doctor and neurologist. They both are good hospitals. Welcome to Ohio and to the site.

The only reason is because that was the only hospital when I gave birth to my son that we could be in the same hospital because we knew he would have surgery at birth and be in the hospital for awhile after birth-ended up being 77 days straight. My daughter goes to Dayton hospital to see her pediatric developmental doctor and neurologist. They both are good hospitals. Welcome to Ohio and to the site.

Well hello. We live in the Dayton area and Austin goes to Dayton Childrens. He is actually in the hospital right now.

Tabbycat ask the Social worker or any of the nurses or the Doctors. I just went a few weeks ago to my first support group meeting. i think they are having another this month or they might do it every 2 months.

Charlotte is the social worker. I think she would be more than glad to help you with what you need or at least point you in the right direction.
