Anyone Like Oprah?

what people's misfortune's? As far as I can see if anything she tries to help people with misfortunes. She can't save the whole world.
I like the books she recommends!
As for anything else, I'm a bit upset with her.... I also wrote her years ago when everyone thought I had an eating disorder and with stresses of CF and being in high school, etc. I thought maybe I could share my story with her so others wouldn't feel so alone. I got a crummy generic response emailed to me. I know she can't help everyone, and that is fine. I 'm over it.
The biggest thing for me is that I know when Allan was very very sick and dealing with all the beuracracy of medicare and cepacia transplants and all that, I think someone wrote to her (I think more than just one person actually), and not a peep came back. Now, maybe its just cause I think his story was absolutely worth mentioning and maybe helping out, but I think a lot of her stories focus around the same things over and over, and when someone with a "different" less-known dillema come along, she ignores their plight. JMO though. I guess I just wish she had been there for Allan. So, I hold a grudge.

I dont think its really fair to hold a grudge against her. She, personally, cant go thru all the emails, letters & stories that come into the show. She has her staff for that. Sadly it reflects on her if someones story such as Allans doesnt get acknowledged tho. Just like contacting her about CF. It would take more than a few hundred letters sent sparactically versus all the mail they get. Does it suck, YES!

I dont think its really fair to hold a grudge against her. She, personally, cant go thru all the emails, letters & stories that come into the show. She has her staff for that. Hands down, Oprah = Ownage <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">. She holds her age VERRY well too.
