Anyone live in Colorado?

I live in the Denver metro area. Most of our early fall and spring snows are followed by nice 60-70 degree weather so it melts off quick. The winter can be cold and the air is very dry. Boulder is a little higher elevation than where I am and so they will get more snow than Denver. Most of our winters are not grey and dreary though, even with 24 inches on the ground. My two kids with CF have had no problem with the elevation but they were born here. If you are coming from sea level I suspect it will take some time to adjust. Hope this helps a little.

Thanks so much for everyone response! It soothed some of the fears/concerns I had. I am so relieved to hear that winter isn't 24/7 grey and dreary as that's what got to me the most. If Colorado is the destination of choice, I'll be sure to set up a clinic appt. way in advance to help with the altitude adjustment. =)

Bethylove,
I used to live in CO before moving to Chicago two years ago. I originally came from the east coast where I struggled with the humidity for most of my childhood. In CO, I could sleep with the windows open at night (something I could never do back east) and I thought my sinuses cleared up a lot (less moisture to cause infections). CO is actually the sunniest place (even more so than FL and CA) so that you would love. (I miss it!) I actually think the higher altitude made my lungs work harder and probably in the process made them stronger. And, as it's already been said, National Jewish is awesome. The staff at the adult clinic are wonderful and attentive.
