Anyone living in Minnesota???

My husband is looking at a job opportunity in Minnesota in the next couple weeks. We are trying to figure out if we can even afford to live there. Does anyone know of healthcare programs my boys could qualify for?

Are you talking about the Minneapolis area? If so, many people are choosing to live in Hudson, WI. It is much cheaper, yet still close. Low crime. Nice, newer neighborhoods. WI has good healthcare programs.

We live in eastern North Dakota and doctor in Minneapolis. There are two accreditted CF clinics in Minneapolis -- U of MN and Children's of Minnesota. Both are GREAT facilities. DS goes to an ID doctor specializing in CF, but tests and hospitalizations are at Children's. Also heard Sanford in Sioux Falls, SD has a good program -- near SW Minnesota.

Minnesota has a good program through the state. Believe it's income based on a sliding fee scale...

we are looking at the border of minnesota and wisconsin. My Hubby was just looking at Hastings, MN. That would be halfway between St. Paul and his possible job in Bay City, WI. It looks like Hudson would be an hour from his job, but I appreciate so much your thoughs and suggestions!! Keep them coming
