Anyone on Disability

I've been on disability for almost a year now and it's driving me nuts! I have some days where I feel real crummy and I know I wouldn't have been able to go into work, but other days when I feel okay. And then I think, "maybe I could work...maybe not at my original job, but at something." I hate just sitting around my house with my dogs and cat all day. I do dishes, clean around the house, run errands for my grandmother who doesn't drive, and end up at the grocery store almost every other day. I Volunteer with the local humane society helping walk their dogs, but that's only good for taking up a couple hours once or twice per week.

My question is, for all of you who don't work, but aren't in the hospital all the time either, what do you occupy your time with? What kind of hobbies do you all have (cf or non cf related)? I hope you don't mind, but I may end up stealing some of these ideas!

Thanks!!

I'd recommend trying to find a part time job, maybe 10-12 hours a week or so with a flexible schedule so if you aren't feeling good one day you could always do the work the following day. You can work and earn a bit of money while on disability.

another idea would be to find a stay-at-home job like transcription or something that you just get paid for what you do when you do it and nothing states exact hours. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
