Anyone use ceftazidime

Did anyone has side effects and does it seem to help and what ru using to mix it with doctors sais I could use sterile water or saline hoping it does some good thanks for help

Just did an course a couple of months ago. Didnt give me any real side-effects and worked. Have taken it many times over the years and its been a good drug for me.

Oh my goodness the smell boit made me sick it is stright sulfur rotten eggs I was not ready for that this stuff better help to go threw this stench lol

It seems to me that if your Doctor ordered it, you should be having this discussion with him/her.

I'm sure you were given that based on what bacteria you grow. I personally have only done the IV version of ceftaz but if it's unbearable because of taste/smell you could do as Printer suggested and check with your doc to see if there is another option that your bacteria is sensitive to. I personally despise the taste of Tobi but it's the only thing that works for me so I put up with it. Hope it gets better for ya!

Fortaz is a great antibiotic. It's generally well-tolerated. If you're nebbing it, the taste/smell can be an issue, but it never bothered me when I've done it that way. For me (your mileage may vary due to your specific bugs and their specific sensitivities), Fortaz is a fantastic drug. Makes my sputum crystal clear and keeps it that way for months. I even stop culturing pseudomonas for months afterwards due to how effective it is at suppressing things.
