Anyone use Viokase Powder for Enzymes

Keep trying different things until you find something he likes, dont use dairy etc, see my other post. My older children both had Viokase powder and tablets because that's all there used to be back in the day <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

They did take the powder with water, but others used baby food gel, there's different flavours. You might also look at when you give the enzyme, do you give it at the beginning of the feed, middle or end? I would recommend beginning and middle.

Like to hear how you go with it. We mixed Creon into apple sauce (make sure it's sweet!) for our younger child. he had it from 6wks.

Brady had tried the Viokase powder for about 6 weeks and had really bad stomach aches and gas (worse than normal) so we attributed that to the Viokase powder and the doc's took him off of it. So my son was not able to take it. He will take his enzymes before he gets hooked up for his night feeding.

My son used to take Viokase powder. I would mix it into his tube feedings to extend the effectiveness of his feeding sessions. We stopped after not noticing any real changes in weight gain. He did not like the powder when it was put in things he ate. Good luck with your efforts.
