Anyone using Blue Shield PPO?

Just wondering if anyone who lives in California uses the Blue Shield Spectrum PPO Plan 250, Premier Plan?

I'm curious to hear if it's been okay for you.

Thanks.

all plans can be different if they're from an employer. employers negotiate various co-pays, deductibles, premiums, etc. so unless someone on here has the same employer (which is possible the more i think about it), they probably can't speak to your specific situation.

i'm guessing this isn't an individual plan since you have a pre-existing condition. maybe you and your hubbie are doing the beth suffian idea by getting group insurance for your hubbie's company so that you can be included. even then, chances of you having the same details on the plan are slim.

just a head's up so you don't get misleading/inaccurate information

That's okay.

Does anyone have any positive or negative feedback in general about Blue Shield PPO plans?

Considering that PPOs are designed so that you can choose your doctors, specialists, etc, don't we pretty much have to pick PPO over HMO if we can afford it, so we're not stuck seeing non-specialists?

well, you can still see a specialist with an HMO..... it depends if that specialist is in network for your HMO plan. and it may take a while longer than with a PPO to get some services covered.
