I applied for SSI for my daughter and my center has told me that my daughter is too healthy to get it although she was in the hospital for a failure to thrive in july anyone have this problem at all

just keep appealing if she has cf she will get it. its just that the deny it the first couple times. it happened to me also but just keep appealing

I applied for SSI right at 18, was denied after about 3 months, appealed, and then about a year later I received a phone call stating I was approved, and would receive back pay for those months dating back to when I first applied. Its an unfortunate thing to have to deal with, but that's how it is. By the way, I was diagnosed at age 6, and have a medical record about 2 foot high
