Huh, I stand corrected from my above post. Apparently University of Minnesota does award a scholarship with "preference" to CFers through their office of disability services.

I was actually encouraged to write about cf in my application essay. I don't think there will be any negative effects of doing so. In regards to where I went to school. I just chose University of Washington cause I liked the school and I grew up in Washington, It is a plus though that the UW Med Center has a great CF clinic.
