Ok i guess i did not explain what i mean by raising money for treatments. I do not in any way plan to get free donations. My goal is to be able to raise money by selling something. Ie: handmade jewelry. I dont intend on holding a donation bucket in front of walmart or anything like that. I am thinking of this on a business level. As far as the comments made about the money being better spent on "medical needs", well my response is that there are already companies and foundations that raise money for that. for that. Since cf patients are now living longer and into adulthood we need more support with adult issues such as, marriage, starting families, raising familes, getting and holding jobs. I am just wanting to help with the starting families part. We dont have much support in that area. We need a stronger avenue. This whole mission of mine is to help, not be greedy.

I totally understand Kristina, and would love to help in anyway. This is a real concern for women as well as men with CF. I think it would be a great addition to all the other resources that already exist out there.

Maybe Julie or one of the other girls, maybe Emily could help you in how to get started with your ideas....and a big kuttos to you!!!!

I sort of agree with Amy, though if people specifically wanted to give to the cause of infertility in CFers. I don't see anything wrong with that...

I am not the best person to ask on this but I would say to consider all your options including the increased medical expense being pregnant with CF can cause...

Just out of curiosity, have you ever considered having a surrogate mother carry a child for you? That probably would cost less then fertility treatments and be a lot less taxing on your body...

But to the orginal question, if you specifically wanted to raise funds for having a child, I don't see anything wrong with that..[/q

Just wanted to educate a little....surrogacy requires IVF plus you have to pay the surrogate, so in no way is this cheaper!

Yeah, I actually thought of that after I made my post... Well there you have it, don't listen to the girl who doesn't have any kids...
