My daughter has asthma and CF. Both are treated. We find sometimes that the asthma will cause problems for the CF.

9 times out of 10 we can tell which one is causing the problem.

My 11 month old was just recently diagnosed with a significant asthma component to her CF. We are still trying to get everything normal for her and under control.
She has quite a bit of wheezing with hers and a consistant cough going on. When she was admitted, her chest x-ray showed her significant asthma. They are actually concerned now that it may be something else too.

She just had an airway flouroscopy the other day to verify traecheamalasia. Still awaiting the results on that. She has such a terrible cough and we have dealing with most of these problems for about 10 out of her 11 months of life, so we need to find the answer!

If she is not doing better by June, she will have a Bronch to take a much closer look.

She is inhaling Pulmicort 2x a day and doing a duo neb which helps with the wheezing while sick.

At this point I am not sure what is causing her problems, but it seems that, if it is the only problem, the asthma has control of her right now and the CF is just sitting in the background. But then again, I can't be sure what is causing her terrible cough <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif" border="0">( It just really confuses things to add in the asthma.
