Does this go for things like albuterol and combivent? What choices do we have? There arent really any other drugs that we can take daily in their place.

It said that albuterol and things like budesonide (which is Pulmicort) would be considered good choices bc they are widely studied.
Basically we don't have any other choices than using these drugs. At the minimum a daily bronchodilator is necessary. I never liked taking them while I was preg, but at the same time my docs always reminded me that if the baby isn't getting enough oxygen and nutrients bc I'm not getting enough good oxygen flow, that is more dangerous than the small risk of these inhaled drugs.

Some of the other inhaled stuff mentioned in this study, yeah I'd agree that being cautious is a good idea. I always approached pregnancy with the viewpoint that going into it without needing alot of meds in the first place is a good idea. Being healthy enough to support the pregnancy should be first. And if the need for meds comes up, they're always there for you thank goodness.

I truly believe that mom being healthy has to be first though.
