Avent sterilizer

We recently purchased a sterilizer for my 15 month olds nebs. It is the one recommended by the clinic, but it stays so wet in there. I just feel like all that moisture isn't good. Does everyone else take them out as soon as it is done? or maybe we got a lemon? Before we got the sterilizer, we used to boil his nebs after each treatmen. Anyone have the same issue, or maybe I am doing something wrong...

Mine stays wet too and that bothered me as well. To combat this, I remove mine and dry them in a germ guardian, where they stay until use. The germ guardian apparently doesn't get hot enough, for long enough to actually sterilize, but it does a wonderful job getting everything dry! Before the germ guardian, I would set the nebs on a clean paper towel & then cover with another clean paper towel and once dry, store in tuperware until it was needed. I've also heard of some drying them in the oven too.

I do not like them to sit wet either.
I either run the sterilizer right before I will be using the nebs and take them out as soon as the cycle is done (they shake off nearly dry if you take them out right away), or airdry them on a wire baking rack (the kind with little legs, so air circulates around them.)

The Germ Guardian uses dry heat and is marketed to sanitize DRY baby toys, pacifiers, etc. Instructions for it state that it's not meant to be used with wet things, and I am leery about using a product like that in a way it's not intended. Since it doesn't reach a temperature sufficient to sterilize, I am not convinced the interior is germ-free, so i don't want to put freshly sterilized nebs into a container that may not be sterile and leave them in there for prolonged periods of time. However, that's just my opinion. Some people love theirs. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

What is the sterilizer recommended by the clinic?
