Yeah, I also got the message from the CFF that it was approved this week. Hooray! I have heard from my CF doctor that the studies were done with the e-flow, so I'm not sure what this Altera device is. Anyone know?

Also, was anyone on the study for this? I'm interested in hearing feedback about the drug.

Is it used to treat PA or staph? Or something else?</end quote></div>

I met PARI rep a few months ago and he told that AZLI was tested with a specific version of E flow

AZLI is used to treat PA. It will be prescribed with an e-flow device....the name may change; but, still same device. The drug is now referred to as Cayston.

I have had good experience with this drug. Not too much in the FEV1 area; but, feeling really good on the 4 week cycle. Maintaining lung function. For me, this was a much easier drug to inhale than Tobi or Colistin.

When I was on a drug study for AZLI, I stopped culturing PA after culturing it for 10 years. After stopping AZLI, I didn't culture PA for about a year.
