AZLI study

I was just curious how many of you are doing the azli study? We received everything yesterday at our clinic visit, and our 7 year old is the one doing it. She gets to use a nebulizer, I think it's called eflow - and it's INCREDIBLE! I'm so excited about the nebulizer alone that I don't want to give it back! It only takes her three minutes to get the dosage, which would take tobi 20 minutes. It's also completely silent! My daughter is just as impressed. Anyone else use it, and maybe know how long until we can have it for good?

I don't know anyone in the study but it sounds GREAT! Right now hunter's albuteral/atrovent takes 20mins, then 5min for pulmozyme, and another 5 for pulmicort...i couldn't imagine tacking on 20 more for Tobi. I hope it's available soon!
and by the way - Your kids are adorable!!

I am in the AzLi study and also have the eflow. I actually have two b/c I have an additional one for tobra that I got through foundation care after my doc gave me the Rx. Eflow actually is used with tobra (NOT the old TOBI, this has to be specially mixed) and other drugs (including HTS) for some CFers. Some docs are hesitant to prescribe it because they feel it needs more research, but my doctor is extremely careful and she thinks it's fine for tobra that is made specifically for the machine, as well as the HTS. She does not allow me to use it with DNase, because she is not convinced the drug is effective when broken down into the eflow's small particles. Either way, it has knocked TONS of time off my routine to do my tobra treatments through the eflow!

Talk to your doc. And congrats on the AzLi study. That drug is incredible!
