Okay, thought I'd weight in as someone on the aztreonam for eflow right now:

1) As NoExcuses (our resident eflow expert, btw!) pointed out, this drug is currently in extended access study phases. That means it is not yet available for the general public. You can talk to your clinic about getting on the study, but you have to meet certain criteria.

2) This drug is amazing. It has pulled my PFTs up by 10%. It take about 5 minutes on the eflow (give or take a minute or so) and has no real taste. It certainly doesn't have a taste like TOBI, that's for sure.

3) You do mix it yourself, but they make it easy. No syringes or anything.

4) I would recommend this antibiotic to anyone with CF. I cough less, I feel better, my energy level is up. I have been on TOBI and Colistin alternating for years, with no huge improvement. This is world's better in my opinion.

Check out the study link that Amy (NoExcuses) gave in her post. This is definitely something all CFers should be at least discussing with their doctors, because we need to be proactive about the new drugs coming out of the pipeline and how they can help our personal health. Just my 2 cents, of course <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">
