We are having a birthday party this Sunday for our two older kids and I'm looking for some fun game ideas. There will be kids ranging in ages from about 12 down to 2, boys and girls. Any ideas?

Pin the tail on the donkey? Duck duck goose? Bobbing for apples? Charades? Musical chairs? Tag? Relay races are always fun...can you be more specific as to what type of game you need?

Decorating their own cupcakes went over big at my 3 year old's last party. Making their own birthday hats was a bit too complicated and not so successful. Nobody wanted to play pin the tail on the birthday boy (a picture of him, that is).

Scavenger hunts are always fun.

Allie, EEEEEEEEEEEW Bobbing for apples is gross gross gross! Talk about a germ cocktail!

I went to a party once with Josh when he was 4 or so. They bobbed for apples. The kid in front of him had the worst green boogers running down his face BUT his mom still let him do it. I wouldn't let Josh play and he had a huge tantrum- bad memories there.

Thanks for all the ideas. I was looking for games that they could play outside, trying to kepp them out as much a possible, games that all ages could play. I think we are going to do a scavenger hunt, pin the tail on the donkey, guess how many candies are in the jar, and some balloon popping game that my husband found.
