Hi Anne,

Congratulations to you and the family! What a wonderful birth story. I'm curious, how big is baby Hannah? She looks like a good size baby! And beautiful. How fun to have a big sister/little sister relationship in your family now. Enjoy the infant stage! We all know it goes by all to quick.

Sorry - forgot the good deets!
Hannah was 7 lbs 14 oz and 19 inches long. We left the hospital 2 days later. Since she was born in the afternoon we got an extra day. I could have asked to go home the day after having her but I figured I would take advantage of the help offered in the hospital! She was 7 lbs 5 oz leaving the hospital and back up to 7 lbs 12 oz as of yesterday so my milk is feeding her well!
I had an epi with Alexa but since she was early they would not give me one until they kew for sure labor was not going to stop. They decided I could have an epi 22 hours into Alexa's 27 hour labor. At that point I needed something to to help me rest up for push time.
This labor was so much shoter - about 9 hours- I labored so much at home that by the time I got to the hospital I was in the final stages of labor when your body knows to give you good breaks inbetween contractions so you can prepare for pushing. Mybe it is the OCD/routine orientation in me but I actually "enjoyed" the extremly regular pattern of labor. Weird!
