back ache

I bet it's your body adjusting to your stomach and/or boobs getting bigger and you carrying more weight out front. I've gained a lot in the last month and had to get a body pillow to sleep with at night b/c I was having a lot of back pain. The pillow helps keep me on my sides too. I worry about pre-term labor a lot too (not right now, but I worry about it happening in the next couple of months), so I definitely understand your concern, but I bet it is nothing to worry about.

Labor happens when you have contractions. An achey back w/ no contractions isn't preterm labor. I think you're just fine <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

i had my ob appt this morning and because i said something about my back they decided to check me. cervix is all there and with no dialation (yeah!). he said everything looked good. the nst and fluid level looked fine...see you back in a week for another nst. the doc kinda hit on my back around my kidneys to make sure it wasn't my kidneys that were hurting instead of it being my back. nope those are fine, but i can understand the concern especially right now. anyways he said maybe i just pulled something in my back. i didn't say this to him, but i kinda chuckled in my head because i definetly havent done anything to pull a muscle in my back. lol. as for my ribs...ugh they are going to be broken by the time he comes out i'm convinced. but all is well with me. hope all is well with everyone else!!

I'm starting to get an achy lower back. I think it's just the change in the spine and opening pelvic bones causing it. Back pain is very common in late pregnancy.
