Hello Kristen. Hyper-acidity is when your stomach produces too much hydrochloric acid for your own good. Hydrochloric acid is needed by everyone to digest food, but too much is a hap hazardous condition. It symptoms can be fatigue, muscle and joint weakness, nausea, vomiting, flatulence and diarrhea. OTC antacids such as Pepcid or Zantac control it, and in most cases I'd say a probotic will do, it's just mine is so damn stubborn that a simple probiotic will not cut it.
