Bad news on my port

Ew, I'm so sorry to hear that. My port has actually shifted a little too... it's poking up dangerously close to the skin. Not sure what happened or what causes that. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

Oh man, that's too bad. I think when ports are placed in non-traditional locations (i.e., not the chest where they tie into the superior vena cava or the jugular) there's an increased risk for it dislodging, the catheter getting kinked, or other complications.
Good luck with the replacement. Sorry you have to have a do-over. Yuck.
