<P>M was just inpatient the start of May, and did 2 weeks of IV abx (Fortaz & Merepenem).  Admit was initially for a GI/Liver issue but the started IV's anyways for a lingering cough.</P>
<P> </P>
<P>He was scheduled for an outpatient GI scope again to follow up from before and his CF Dr wanted to bronch while he was under.</P>
<P> </P>
<P>Dr. just came out and told Johanna that lungs were full of thick sticky mucuous and he is readmitting him for additional IV's.  Bear in mind we just finished them 3 weeks ago.</P>
<P> </P>
<P>I'm not a happy camper right now <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"></P>

Wow bummer. Does one of you stay with him? That must be so hard with so many kids. Here's to hoping he can come home on IVs if that is easier for you all.

LouLou, normally I stay with him but I'm in NY working so my wife is with him, and my other kids are spread out across Georgia at friends. It was supposed to be an outpatient procedure than morphed into a 2-day stay so we weren't prepared at all <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

Oh well, we needed to figure out how to do a stay with me in NY, just hoped to have more than a week before we got to test it out !!

Well, new plan today. They couldn't get anyone to agree to try an picc placement as they last several have been nearly impossible.

So.....discharged this afternoon, having a port placed next Tuesday and then a week inpatient to start IV's then. Ugh
