My son , aged three, has been getting nasty, red rashes that usually coordinate with some period of oral antibiotic. They are nasty, red, raised and sometimes itchy that are on his stomah, legs and arms. He has been skin and oral challenged for a penicillen allergy but was negative. He started Cipro on Thursday and has a rash today.
He has been on IVs twice and has never shown a reaction. He seems to have such a hard time with the orals. Any suggestions? Is there maybe a preservative in the oral and not the IVs. I'm at my wits end. Should I still give him his dose of Cipro tonight? I'll call CF doc tomorrow.
