I have never heard of this affecting CFers. However, when I worked in an OBGYN office, I remember seeing some that were VERY enlarged. I don't remember it causing problems for these patients other than some discomfort.

Debbie,
Thanks for the link..I think lol. And for the encouragement to post any question.
Melissa,
Thanks for responding. Never TMI :) My issue is one of clogging and cyst formation, like Christy wrote about--not a huge deal, but uncomfortable.
Christy,
Thanks for your reply. Luckily, mine has never been enormous, but one GYN inserted a catheter in there for six weeks. THAT sucked.

:)

I had a problem with that gland a few years ago - maybe 5 or 6 or so. All I will say is it was the most excruciating thing I think I have dealt with.

Other than that one occurence though I haven't had problems. I talked to my gyno about it at that time and she said it could occur due to something as simple as a grain of sand getting into the gland (i.e from the beach) Since at the time I was always at the beach she brought that up to me as a likely source of issue.

I haven't had a problem since that time though. I am just going to say I am sorry that you have to deal with this regularly. I can't even imagine that as a regular issue.

Take Care,
Lindsey
