I ran the Warrior Dash recently (and I believe I came in 3000-something-th lol). It was a 5k and no electric shock -- I'm spooked about that. Do the spartan races have that?

Thankfully there are no electric shocks in the Spartan Race. I think that's ridiculous. Congrats on finishing the Warrior Dash. Thanks for the kind words, too.

Beautifully done! We with CF seem to have a certain drive that others don't, more often than not. Nice to see it in action.
I finished a 10K last weekend, myself. But there were no sandbags involved! Still, at FEV1 of 28% and nearing my 41st birthday, I guess I felt a little like a Spartan just crossing the finish line.
Here's to many, many more finishes for the both of us.

Nice job! I did a Tough Mudder last fall, which ended with the electric shock...don't let that scare you off doing another mud run, it's not bad at all...I've gotten worse shocks from opening my car door in the dead of winter. Keep up the exercise!
