Don't give up! I used to swim very well also along with other sports. It is discouraging, but don't give up! Do what you can do, even though it may feel like a grandma workout! Maybe try to exercise in your own home, or close to your house to avoid any embarrassment of being winded too quickly or oxygen tubes etc.
