Better no caffeine during pregnancy

i stopped totally before preg bc caffeine isn't good when ttc. it was hard to stop then, but i'm glad i did it before bc stopping when i got preg would have been hard esp since you are emotional to begin w in early preg.
to be honest, once i was off coffee, i felt better, had more energy and no afternoon slumps. but as soon as i popped that baby out-back to coffee.
i am addicted. at 4 am when i am up w baby, it truly does make me feel better to know that at 8 am i can press that button and drink a cup. it helps me get through the nite.
i am glad i didn't drink coffee though during preg. academy of ped's, my doctor and most legit preg books remind you that caffeine is a drug, and with all the drugs i had to take while preg by need-i didn't want to add another one by choice.
also for breastfeeding mamas-i have heard from alot of sources that the typical baby twilight cranky time is due to mamas morning coffee habit. caffeine levels peak in baby way after mama has drank it-makes sense to me. hey not lecturing here, i am as guilty as anyone!

I drank Coffee, but did limit it to 1 cup which was much less. Jazz reacted to it every time. Tumbled around making it difficult to scoot up close to my desk LOL~

Maybe that is why she doesnt like the taste of coffee now <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">
