The effects of mood stabilizers and anti-convulsants depends on the person and the proper amount of medication prescribed. Not all of these meds drain you of your personality. After being properly diagnosed with the right medication I got my life back. Furthermore, being in the proper state of mind has helped me cope better with the issues of having CF. I think it just goes by an individual basis.
