Hey guys...I know this has been posted numerous times, but I just have to do it again. Ok, so a few friends of mine and I love going to the park around campus and hiking. There are the times though, that I can't keep up with them, they're climbing to much, walking too fast, that sort of thing. There are times just walking around campus that I get winded and need to slow down (though a lot of my friends just keep goin), and it's these times that make me think, if/when I meet a great guy, is he really going to want to be with me if I can't always keep up with him? I mean, I guess I just kind of think that over time, having to go in slow motion with me will get old. I don't know whether this is a cf thing, or a girl thing, or just a deep thought kinda deal where I half don't feel like I'm worth that much for a guy (bleh, lol), but I decided to post anyway just for some input.

Anyone else know what this is like?

erin,

When you find the right guy you won't have to keep up, he will slow down and you won't even have to ask. Keep your chin up, there really is a perfect someone for everyone...

My boyfriend Brian he sometimes gets to walking to fast and he'll notice I'm lagging behind so he'll come up to ask if I'm ok. Sometimes he'll notice I'm winded but he may not say anything but he just knows that we may have to take it slower today. But we've been together so long its just natural for him to notice because we live together. I have friends some notice when I'm winded just from me talking to them and some don't. It depends on how much your actually around these people. The friend that notices is one I talk to everyday. She's in tune to it now. So maybe they just don't notice when your winded because their only around you every so often. We as Cf'ers really tend to hide it rather good until it really bothers us. Alot of people don't know how I really feel at times because I hide it until I can't. Becky

Sometimes my husband has to slow down for me & he doesn't mind at all (or else he's doing a good acting job) lol
It will be fine. If you loved a man, you wouldn't mind slowing down for him, would you? He will be the same way<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

There are so many topics like this I thought about before I meet my fiancee. But everyone is right, if he wants to be with you it won't matter how slow you are. My fiancee will realize I am not by his side, look back, smile, and come back in step with me. These things just become natural. As often as people say it, it is still hard to believe it will happen --- but it will. Keep your spirits up.

It saddens me to hear your friends don't wait up for you, does anyone stay back with you?

That's so true. :)

Not necessarily... but it won't hurt to make that assumption, because otherwise, you'll never find them for sure. And that would be the most tragic thing of all.
