Amy your description made me laugh.. How funny...I am for sure going to use that to explain it to my patients next time I give them that to drink.. It is so true.. I literally got a queezy stomach when I read your post because I in the past several months have drank gallons of that stuff.. I won't to puke at the thought of it.. but it does work..

Yuck for the lime taste...

I have to stop thinking about it cause I am going to throw up

i use more vulgar language of course when i explain it to my friends, but i'm glad you found my tactful expression humorous as well.

when i was in high school, i used to be able to feel where my blockage was (i think cuz i was so skinny.... 5'2 and didn't hit 100lbs until junior year... i'm a buck 20 now with my Starbucks diet).

all my friends used to get a kick out of feeling my "sh!t brick" on my stomach. everyone knew when i was spending a while in the bathroom that the fun of the sh!t brick would then be gone.... booooo....

I have noticed lately that JD has a really bad pot belly and getting a little constipated, so I might try it with him if it does not get much better so we don't have the drama of a couple of years ago when he was hospialized to digestive problems. I know there is still food hanging out in his intestines. It's funny he wrestles and at the last 2 weigh ins, he weighed 75 pounds, not that I am advocating him losing weight at his age or w/ CF, but I know that he is really not that much, but he weighs at practice after he has come home and had a big meal, which is just sitting inside him, so with this latest bout of constipation I gave him mirilax last night and this morning and had him wait till after practice to eat, he weighed in at 73 pounds, prob more of his actual true weight. Amy, on a sidenote, I started him on NAC yesterday and Omega3/6/9

Hi cutecurlz, if one sandwhich is doing that to you I tend to agree with Risa, you may be wheat or yeast intolerant. The other possibility is that you are gluten intolerant, very common and grossly under-diagnosed. Gluten is in lots of things but gluten free diets are becoming more common, so more and more foods are available in gluten free varieties.

Other than that it could be whatever you had on your sandwhich........

If I overdo the Olive oil oh boy. Adding a teaspoon or more of olive oil to your food will make you go. Just add it cold. I would take a smaller amount to start and wait one hour and see what happens. If nothing comes out, then add some more.

Having recently endured a rather frightening episode of bowel obstruction, I hope whatever is going on with you is getting resolved ASAP! Even a partial obstruction can cause a huge amount of bloating, not to mention pain. Hang in there! I hope everything "comes out" okay.
