My 2 boys used to have these exact issues. After going gluten free and dairy free (other than yogurt) they no longer have any bloating.

I have the same problem. I didn't think it was related to CF but after reading all of you. now I wonder.

This is me as well! I have always complained about looking pregnant by the end of the day. I haven't linked it to any other stomach symptoms, though. I also notice that I am about 5 lbs lighter when I get up in the morning, but I figured that was normal.

I wonder where all the bloat goes during the night?

If you are losing that much weight overnight then it is excess water. Like I said in my previous post, many mornings I wake up lbs lighter as well.

I always thought it was really silly that many hospitals weigh their patients in the evening. I think morning weight is a much more accurate reading.
I'm glad to find out that I am not alone with this bloating! It is definitely embarrassing at times and wearing tight fitting clothes is not very flattering. I used to be a librarian so I have done some research. Medline says:Symptoms related to bowel function may include:

Belly pain from severe constipation

Increased gas, bloating, or a belly that appears swollen (distended).

Other sources say antibiotics can contribute to this problem as well as pancreatic insufficiency, and bacteria. People with cystic fibrosis are prone to distended abdomens.Unfortunately it looks like we all have something in common that is not very attractive. I eat a healthy diet, take probiotics, exercise regularly and still I get a distended abdomen. I have been frustrated with my body image but have learned to live with it as well as all of the other symptoms related to CF.Hope this helps!

Has anyone else checked gluten and diary, like ehtansky21?
I tried going diary-free for a while but didn't notice a decrease in mucus (which was why I was trying) but then I wasn't tracking bloating. And I absolutely love cheese, it's so hard to try to live without it!

I may try the dairy and gluten thing though. My friend is a Celiac (Gluten intolerant) May have a word with her see what her symptoms were and if they are now improved. She always says she feels so much better once she was diagnosed!!.
