I had a friend who had to drink mucomyst and she mixed it with coke. She swore it helped kill the taste

It might be you need a round of golytely. When I get that way I take a super huge amount of miralax with a glass of apple juice and then spend the night in the bathroom. I usually do that for a couple of days.

my doc put me on colace to help soften my stools and get them going-don't know if thats the issue. sounds more like digestive-are you sure you are taking enough enzymes? maybe cut down on the fat in your meals?
I'd see a gastroenterologist for this-they can target the problems really well.

thanks guys, appreciate the help. I've been doing the laxitive thing for a week and a half and it just isn't working. I might up my enzymes and see if that works. I have a follow up on thursday, I'll ask about the gastro and see.

I have the same problems as you. I usually just go with the flow, or so to speak. I use LACTULOSE it helps me lots! It's a laxitive but it's the only one that I have found that works fer me. It usually kicks in the next morning or so and I take it right b4 bed.

Hi Chris,

I would suggest looking into another pancreatic enzyme. This happened to me a few years ago and we switched enzymes. That did the trick for me. I switched from Pancrease MT 16 to Ultrase 20. Maybe over time your body becomes resistant and you need something stronger or something. My bloating has been under control ever since.

Good luck!

Hi Chris-
Are you currently on any probiotic? I have no bloating and never have acid reflux since starting them.... There are many studies (one with cf) that indicate probiotics are a useful tool in many inflammatory diseases...such as cf, crohn's....celiacs.
I'll send you some info if you would like.
