Block in digestive tract?

I would clear her out through diet. See if you can get her not having the problem then slowly introduce the things you took out of her diet to solve the problem.

How long has this been going on?
Did you make a change such as adding solids around the time that the pain began?
Are you giving her any of these items:

bananas
cereals
milk/yogurt
applesauce

If so I would stop all of them.
Give 50% prune juice/water 4 oz. per day.

Consider adding these items if not already in her diet. Remember always wait 4 days before adding any new item.

Prunes
Pears
Peaches
Plums

She is just on formula and has been since she was about a month old when they decided to start her enzymes and my milk supply depleated (I was trying to nurse as long as possible but stopped at this point.)

This problem has been going on for months and we havent changed her formula before it started. I thought maybe she was lactose intolerant so we tried her on one (transitioning it slowly with her old stuff) and that didnt work so we tried another brand for a few months and that didnt help.

I am so frustrated and upset I was in tears last night holding her while she screamed for over an hour. I tried pumping her legs and rubbing her belly but that seemed to hurt her more (or she was just pissed cause I put her down to pump her legs).

I feel like an awful mother because I just want to take this away and make her feel better but I cant... I hate feeling helpless and no one is taking me seriously. Besides this issue she is a happy "healthy" baby and always smiling....

Just got a call from our specialist and they are going to put her on Renididine (sp?) to see if that helps if not they will put he on the same thing Alysa is on in the meantime they are going to refer us to a specialist so by the time we get into to see him/her we would have tried everything.

What would be next though if medication doesnt work, surgery?
