Blocked tubes

Hello,

I saw this posted on Baby center and I was wondering if anyone thought I should address this with their web site administrator:

If your vas deferens or epididymis tubes are blocked or damaged, they can prevent your sperm from getting to your partner's egg.

• Possible symptoms: None.

We as we all know this could be related to CF. Should I address this with them since they indicate that there are no possible symptoms or am I totally off base and overreacting?

I think there are a number of things that can cause blockage or damage, such as an injurie for example. If someone is of the age to be concerned about their fertility chances are pretty high that they would already have been diagnosed with CF if they had it (though not in all cases of course).

Actually i heard of a story where a guy and his wife were trying to get pregnant. Come to find out his tubes were blocked. They did some testing on him and he had cf. He had always had problems but past docs said it was just severe asthma.
I would write and say that blocked tubes can be a symptom of cf (as well as injuries, birth defects). Just so they know that. But it should really say possible causes not symptoms...unless it meant symptoms to tell if a guy has blocked tubes cus really there arent any till he gets checked out to see why his girl wont get pregnant.

I don't think CF should be listed under possible symptoms, but maybe under possible causes? If there is such a category, it may be a good idea to reccomend CF be listed under it. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
