Well, we went and got an xray yesterday and they said it did not seem like a block. They thought she might just have a bad virus. They are also checking for a kidney infection. She has pain in her right side/back area and isn't keeping anything down (food or drink). She has not drank very much so we are concerned about dehydrating and the pain does not seem consistent with any bug or virus. We are currently considering going back to the ER. If she does not drink soon, she will get dehydrated and we will need to go. Thanks for the responses.

Don't let them "Think" anything about your daughter, you are the mom, you can insist they do better, and demand to talk to the radiologist that read the x-ray. I've had several bowel obstructions over the years. And yes with every single one I end up vomiting tremendously. It usually doesn't happen at first, but when It hits it's pretty rough. I can't say though that I've had a fever that I can remember. Hope she feels better very soon!

Go back to the ER if you have to. Call your CF doc office and see if they can give the ER a heads up. One of you stay in the waiting room, and have your daughter stay in the car with the other parent so she doesn't have to sit in the ER cesspool of infection before going back to a room. Then demand a GI study...an x-ray did not show my son's blockages.
