I dont know if anyone is like me and had to have a blood transifusion, but I have to have one each time for sinus surgery. If you have recieved blood you can not be a donor.

I tried to donate blood once, and was honest on the health questions. I stated what drugs I was on, what condition I had, etc. They told me no and goodbye.

It depends. You can donate blood if you meet the eligibility requirements. Here's a link to a quick reference sheet about eligibility requirements.

Having CF does not disqualify you from donating, but lots of the things that come with CF do.
I was told that i could not donate because i'd had a lung infection within the last 3 months. Anemia/low vitamin levels are another common thing they don't allow. Medications could be an issue, but it depends on what you take.

I would think that you sign liablity forms before donating, so that would not be an issue.
