No, the amox should not cause a fever. Is that what they gave her for the ear infection? DId they check with CF before prescribing it? Our CF center would insist on augmentin instead, its a compound that includes amox, but is stronger and for our CFers that spend so much time on abx it seems that you need the bigger guns.

If she's running a fever a few days into the amox, my guess is that the infection is not being taken care of.

(((HUGS))) Poor Sadie, those ear infections are really miserable.

I had contacted them yesterday letting them know we had taken her in and what they prescribed, and this morning when I called, he said he'd been expecting my call, as he figured the amox was not going to work.
