***Perks up*** Amy, I am interested in what this new med is. I have been taking Fosomax for about a year now & dont know if it has helped or not.. Can't take some of the other drugs due to past Renal failure ..

you can tell if Fosamax is working by asking your doc (or going to a rheumatologist) to test the bone turn over markers in your urine.

if they don't know what that is, run screaming from the office and self refer to a good rheum.

but yes, the new drug looks amazing. it won't impact the kidneys like most other options available, nor will it give the GI upset that many meds do.
