Bottle feeding

We ended up doing the same thing as Melissa- Ab would only- and I mean only- take the disposable bottle nipples from the NICU, she turned down every other one I bought. I regularly made trips to the lacation nurse's office to refill our stash, lol! I'd try one (or 3, or...) with a smaller hole too.

Oh, and for some reason, Ab also hated the clear silicone ones, and would only take the yellow ones if she gave a new one a try at all...I don't know if that helps or not. This applied to her pacis too, so maybe trying a nipple similar to her paci would help, if you're not already?

Hi there, I agree with everyone about hitting up the NICU. Days after we got our son home, I was going crazy I had bought every kind of bottle. What ever we tried he wasn't into. So, I called the NICU and asked for some of their bottles. He prefered the same ones Andee had mentioned the NICU yellowish ones...We used them for months until he he took to old fashion Gerber nipples/bottles. Good Luck....

Thanks everyone these are great ideas.....she is trying the syringe idea with granddaughter now. it is slow going since she hasn't had a bottle for over 4 months, she did breastfeed great after birth but my daughter didn't have enough milk coming in and then she had all those surgeries and they had her on an NG tube. She is also checking on the nipples from the hospital. They have an appt on Tues. so hopefully this will get things started.
