boy whose skin fell off

TLC has a show once a week(?) that shows someone with a rare condition. Last night it was guy who had a skin disease. For some reason, the skin did not "grab" onto the body (like grass without roots), so it was always falling off in patches when it came in contact with more than a light touch. His whole upper body was in bandages -- It was sooo sad! It's a big reality check when I complain about doing my nebs, and he gets hurt just by getting a hug <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

Did anyone else see this? I think last week it was the girl without a face (all of her facial bones were missing except her lower mandible). They are not easy shows to watch, but it sure gives me perspective on the things I take for granted in my life.

Yip, it was an English programme, shown over here in Ireland last year. He suffers from EB, which doctors describe as 'the only thing worse is leprosy, and the difference between it and leprosy is that leprosy is contagious'

I can't remember his name (the guy in it) but I thought it was very brave of him to make it. He led a tough life, but he had a great sense of humour despite this. I thought it so sad, that his mother couldnt ever give him a hug. And he had to have his dressings changed teice a day, something which he found painful to do.

I did see that show, you are right, it is hard to watch! It made me very sad! He was such a sweet guy - what a personality! We can find inspiration from many different people (including ourselves!)
