Just want to add that Vitamin D helps you absorb calcium better. Make sure that either the Calcium supplement you take also contains Vitamin D or you take a Vitamin D supplement with the Calcium.

AJ, The previous poster reminded me of a couple threads that may be helpful to you. Julie (mom of triplets) shared what she ate to gain the proper weight during pregnancy. Her focus was on the proper intake of protein which was incredibly high. Additionally, Christian and I were also on this mission with our pregnancies. It seems like good advice for you too. Also something I heard dramamama does that sounds like a good idea is Almond milk with a couple tbsp. of almond butter blended in. This would be a good quick drink with a lot of good calories. Make sure you are staying up on hydration. When I was nursing I drank a pint of liquid everytme I nursed. If I failed to do this I noticed my milk production drop and my lung secretions get thicker. My drink of choice was Apple and Eve brand Naturally Cranberry 6 oz. and the remainder water. If your nutitionist has any good ideas please share. In the US our nutritionists are hell bent on high carb drinks that are full of junk for weight gain. Well at least most of them anyway.
