Bronchitis :(

Well I think I caught the viral bronchitis that Logan and my DH had. It hurts to cough and coughing is now really tiring and a lot of effort. It sucks! I don't think antibiotics would do any good at this point because it is viral. I hate feeling like this and if it is anything like Logan's it will last a long time. He was finally feeling better after being sick for 2 weeks and then of course he caught a cold.... Ironically he never acted sick w/ the bronchitis - always acted normally. And DH said that he never felt sick - just had the junky cough. I don't feel "sick" per say, just really tired and exhausted from all the coughing.

So now I'm stuck here hoping it goes away soon. I'm making sure to do my 2 treatments a day w/ the HTS (I normally can only get to one - sometimes 2). I may try to add in another vest session but the vest by itself never did anything for me. If it lasts more than a week or so I may consider the antibiotics. But I really wanted to avoid them this pregnancy.

On another note, I can feel my asthma disappearing! It is not completely gone but I can now get up out of bed and pee and go back to bed w/o having a huge coughing attack. It is sooo nice. I think it cleared up around this point w/ Logan's pregnancy. When the bronchitis goes away I'll feel like a new woman LOL!

(((HUGS))) and tons of get better vibes are heading your way!
Those coughing fits are THE WORST! Between severe pregnancy insomnia, coughing fits while pg, a newborn and coughing fits I have not had an uninterrupted night of sleep in months! And I questioned needing IV's! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif" border="0">
Anyway, lastnight no coughing fits even though I was up to feed Hannah twice!
Hang tough Mama! You will get through this.

Caroline,

Sorry you're sick....bummer! That has got to be the worst when you have the painful coughing. I, myself, have never had bronchitis, but when I had the flu a few years back it was horrible. The coughing was unbearable. At least the asthma is subsiding - very good news! Hope you're better soon. If not, I'd get in touch with your CF doc.
