I'm sorry you're sick Caroline! You poor thing. Keep a close eye on it. I know for me, a virus (cold, flu, bronchitis, whatever...) can EASILY turn into a raging lung infection overnight. So keep an eye on that sputum. If it changes color or quantity get yourself some abx! Good luck and lie low if you can. You're going to need all the rest you can get.

Hi Caroline,

Take care of yourself - sorry to hear you're not well. I know you're v keen to avoid antibiotics but as others have said do keep an eye on it in case the infection goes to your chest.

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone! I'm still hanging in there. The bronchitis is just causing more sputum which of course equals extra coughing. I'm not running fevers or anything (at least that I'm aware of). Still not ready for antibiotics since I know they won't do anything for a virus. I feel clear after a treatment but a few hours later I'm all congested again. At least I don't feel too crappy - I still have energy, am sleeping well, etc.

My 2yo nephew got this virus bad and my BIL and SIL even took him to urgent care on Sunday. They confirmed it was a virus and they gave him some prednisone to calm his airways and some allergy meds to dry him up (his nose was running really badly). When Logan had it, it was bad too but I never worried about it. They are "worriers", I'm not.

If anything changes and I feel worse I'll let you all know <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
