Bronchoscopy Question?

I posted this in "Teenagers and Young People" already but it was suggested I post somewhere else, so this is a repost, hope that's okay. I actually posted this yesterday but i'm still experiencing the same symptoms. I haven't been able to get in contact with my doctor, so i was just hoping I could get some outside opinions in the meantime?

Hi, I'm eighteen years old, I have CF, and I just got my first bronchoscopy this morning. It's eleven at night right now, I'm starting to feel feverish again (cold, aches and pains - I had a short bout of this right after the procedure but it went away after a while), I'm wheezing, and I'm getting a burning sensation when I take a deep breath. I understand there are sometimes side effects like this with a bronch, but I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if this is normal? Also, if these symptoms should go away soon? Thank you for reading. :)

Sorry I can't give you any insight, but I think you should call the on-call doctor--they are responsible for answering within 30 minutes AND that is their job. It is early enough that you won't wake them. And then either 1) if it is a concern you can immediately address or 2) if not you can get a good night's sleep. The on-call are usually really nice too b/c they know how freaked folks are.

I have had slight fevers and achiness in my lungs after a bronch, as well as heavy sputum (probably because the bronch loosened everything up). My symptoms usually resolved within a day or so. If your symptoms continue, then I would call the doctor to at least make him aware of what is going on..If you feel like something is wrong, relay that to your doc as well, gut instincts are important as you know your body best.
Hope this helped
